Introducing OpenFatigue™
Open is the new open closed.
OpenChamber. OpenAI. Open WebUI. OpenDoor. OpenTable. OpenClaw. Open weights. Open this. Open that. The word has been opened so many times it no longer closes. OpenFatigue™ is the first fully Open-branded platform for people who are exhausted by fully Open-branded platforms.
*Free as in “free trial.” Not free as in freedom. Not free as in beer. Free as in “we'll email you.”

Features
Everything you expect from Open.
Nothing you expect from open.
Open-ish Licensing
Our license is open for anyone to read. Using, modifying, or distributing the software is a separate conversation with Legal.
Weights Available*
Download our model weights after agreeing to a 41-page acceptable use policy, a monthly-active-user cap, and a vibe check.
Source Visible
We publish a high-resolution screenshot of our source code every quarter. Pull requests may be submitted by fax.
Community Edition
Built by a vibrant community of one (1) maintainer, currently on sabbatical. Enterprise Edition includes the other features.
Open Door Policy
Our door is always open. The building is badge-access only. The badge reader is closed source.

Testimonials
Loved by people who are very, very tired.
“I tried to make a restaurant reservation and accidentally fine-tuned a language model. OpenFatigue finally made me feel seen.”
“My open-source project got forked into a closed product called OpenMyProject. Now I just lie on the floor.”
“We renamed our company from ClosedCorp to OpenCorp. Changed nothing else. Series B closed in 48 hours.”
“I bought a house through an app called Open-something and now I don't know if I own a home or a model checkpoint.”
“The OSI definition is right there. It's been right there since 1998. Nobody reads it. I read it every night.”
“10/10. Would open again.”
Symptoms
Do you have OpenFatigue?
Consult your nearest four-freedoms practitioner if symptoms persist for more than one funding cycle.
You flinch when a press release says “open.”
This is the most common early symptom. Your brain has learned that “open” now precedes words like “waitlist,” “API key,” and “enterprise tier.” This is a healthy defense mechanism.
You've started checking the LICENSE file before the landing page.
Congratulations — you are developing immunity. Look for phrases like “acceptable use,” “non-commercial,” “field of use,” and “we reserve the right.” None of those are open source. Real open source licenses let you use, study, modify, and share — for any purpose.
You can no longer tell if “Open___” is a startup, a door, or a restaurant.
Neither can we. One of them sells houses, one books dinner, one serves models, one is a chamber, one is a claw. We stopped asking. Please do not open the claw.
You say “open weights” with air quotes, out loud, unprompted.
Weights without training data, training code, or a permissive license are a binary you're allowed to download. It's nice! It's just… a binary you're allowed to download.
So what does “open source” actually mean?
The term has a specific, published definition from the Open Source Initiative, and there's also an Open Source AI Definition. Supporting projects that meet them is the only known cure for OpenFatigue.
